The Exciting Next Step

There’s a lot coming up that I’m excited to step into.
I share this with you all so you can see how this piece of the kingdom is moving to spread it farther and wider.

These are some of the things that I’ll be stepping into, making myself to be available to people all along the way.

First, I am going to work with Adventures in Missions as they start a guest house (hostel) in the bustling city of Siem Reap in Cambodia.
It’s a beautiful opportunity. For many of you who know me, you know that my passions have always been to grow and dream, to develop places in communities that make people feel safe to be who they are and experience the Father.
This is such a place.
Normally, in order to minister to people, we have to go to them. This is a rare opportunity that allows people to come to us as we show them hospitality through eyes painted with heaven. To show them life in a brotherly community.
To accept them as they are, on what ever journey they are on, love them as well as we can, and then send them off, with love and warm memories in their pocket.
I am going to be stretched here. I have worked at a hostel before, but never helped develop one, and that season overall was the hardest season of my life.

However, that’s not the end of it. There is much more that is burning on my heart to ignite in this place.

Stagnant and tidious things seem to drain me, and that seems to be a lot of the structure of my calling here. So, this season will push me to chase and spend time in a creative place.
I can play with color and paints, song and melody, rhythm and word, dance and movement in order to reset my scale and bring life back.

I want to join a kickboxing class. Of the ones I researched, the two I found were ones where you physically fight another human. That’s not my cup of tea, but we’ll see where the Lord leads. There will be people here that will be great to meet and get to know people in the community who are.

I plan on immersing myself in the foreign culture. When you are around so many americans all the time it’s so easy to stay in your own bubble of culture. It is my goal to live as the people do there and live as one of the locals. Experiencing their culture in a different way than I have before.

Also, I feel compelled to love those involved in the sex trade. I have already started researching and the industry is heart breaking. Some bars charge for a girl less than most shirts cost in the US.
I want to love them as my own. My own friends. My own children. My own family and live in such a way that compels me to be different and love them in a radical way where I do not add myself into the equation, because, let’s face it. With all this going on
I’m going to be tired, but they are worth every ounce of energy. Just remember that I always prayed for Jesus to be a motivator, do-er, and a high energy muh trugga. I am ready to see a huge breakthrough.

I am going to be eating healthy.
The Lord put it in my heart a few months ago back in Africa that every meal I provide for myself, to provide one of equal or better quality for another. I am excited to step into this and hope that there are some street kids around that I can become friends with.
It will also be added to the hospitality thing.

Tattooing.
There is a big opportunity here for me to dive deeper with locals and with the travelers. Stay tuned for another blog describing my heart in this.

Overall, I will be in this beautiful place to serve, and help develop and sustain an earthly place that can have unlimited Kingdom impact. I will build relationships that are genuine as I go along my daily life.

But I need your help. I am looking for people 15 people to donate $50 monthly to make this happen.
Together, we can cause a tsunami of love to be released from small living vessels that change this place for a life time.
